History: Born on the 29th of February in 1916, Genevieve was always a special child. Her unnaturally colored eyes, for example, had been present since her birth, and she grew up without a story or trace of her father. Most people looked down on her and her mother, talking about how she was a demon child with those wild eyes and that her mother was a fool to raise her.
When she was 15, her small family started to feel the effects of the Great Depression. Both her and her mother would go hungry for several nights, and although they worked hard at finding decent jobs, they ended up at a hospital, helping sick patients, with little pay.
Several of the hospital staff and patients began to get fatally ill, and her mom was one. A deadly sickness had been spreading around the building, and it did not spare many people. Genevieve held her mother’s hand and stroked her hair as she watched her die. Strangely, she was completely immune to the disease and found herself running on no sleep around the hospital trying to help. She earned her place there among the nurses and doctors.
One night she went out to get some fresh air, and in the darkness she saw a pair of violet eyes staring her down. Trying to blow it off as a lack of sleep, she hurried back inside. In one of the dark hallways of a deserted hospital wing, the eyes cornered her. It was that night that she learned of her heritage, the eyes belonging to the demon who was her father. He had come to ask her to join him in his endeavors, but she refused, after realizing he was a demon. After that he left, but not before explaining everything there was to being a warlock, hoping to hurt her by telling her she was part demon, a creature of hell.
She was particularly fond of one of the patients who fought the disease like a soldier. He was losing though, and Genevieve found that she cared too deeply for that. Now knowing of her power, she whispered an instinctive incantation over his room, hoping to make him immune, or even immortal, like her. The opposite happened, and horrified, she killed him. She left the city soon after that, heartbroken, and it wasn’t until later that she realized that her father might have had something to do with his death.
Wandering, Genevieve stumbled across another warlock, who took her in and mentored her. Her mentor was kind, and she taught well, but Genevieve found no peace in the knowledge of more spells, and after learning all she wanted, left.
Traveling across the country, offering assistance to whomever needs it, Genevieve found herself in this city, with an apartment. She gets calls from Downworlders, Shadowhunters, and an occasional mundane asking for help, and she happily obliges.
Every now and then Genevieve will ask a Shadowhunter for a tidbit on her father, pained by his betrayal and seeking revenge. Although she is mostly at peace, there are still times when the guilt of the murder crushes her. She is constantly trying to redeem herself by helping the helpless.

Personality: Genevieve is a kind, friendly warlock who enjoys helping people. She is not afraid to tell you harsh truths and knows of true tragedies in life. Although nice, she will get malicious revenge on someone who betrays her. Genevieve is rather clever and talented with spells.
